Idea for initial setup to Use Wiki's and Blogs for Assignments

Class divided into 4 Groups.

Have students view specific tutorials.

Group 1: Outline key points to remember and post it in the class blog. Each student in the group must submit at least two key points.

Group 2: Create a Wiki page that contains examples or scenarios that use each of the key points listed in the blog.

Group 3: Create a Wiki page that contains visual representation( pictures, clipart, charts, video clips) of each of the key points listed in the blog.

Group 4: Create a Wiki page that contains games, quizzes, puzzles, or activity that use the key points listed in the blog.

For Each Group, students will be assigned as follows:

Coordinator - Compile a list of all the students suggestions for content

Data Entry - Enters the information into the Wiki or Blog

Analyst - Reviews content for duplication and relevancy

Editor - Reviews content for Spelling, Grammar, Visual Presentation

After assignment deadline; entire class will be responsible for critiquing each page for gaps. Students who find gaps can select a partner and complete the wiki pages for extra credit.


Each week, the groups will rotate and be responsible for a different assignment and role within the group.
